Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Writing on the site of his radio show, Montana Talks, he declared in February 2024, “We’ve said it before, but we need to say it again- Montana stands with Israel,” called an October 2023 Missoula protest against Israel “radical Left wing activists in Missoula providing cover fire for the Hamas terrorists,” and in November 2023 praised “courageous Montana cowboys helping our friends in Israel,” volunteers taking security gear to settlements in the occupied West Bank. A statewide talk-radio host, retired Army National Guard and Reserve lieutenant colonel and former state director for Rep. Ryan Zinke, he won the June 2026 GOP primary for the open MT-1 seat with Trump's endorsement, running on affordability, timber jobs, public-lands access and a ban on congressional stock trading.
A 1/2, on a thin record: a handful of 2023–24 posts on the site of his radio show, Montana Talks, and none from his campaign, whose issues page, July 2026 Ballotpedia survey and March 2026 Montana Free Press questionnaire never mention Israel, Gaza or Palestine. The posts go further than a statement of support: “We’ve said it before, but we need to say it again- Montana stands with Israel” (February 2024); Missoula protesters cast as “providing cover fire for the Hamas terrorists” (October 2023); the “from the river to the sea” chant as a call “for the elimination of Israel and the Jews” (November 2023); and praise for “courageous Montana cowboys helping our friends in Israel,” volunteers taking security gear to settlements in the occupied West Bank. None says anything about Palestinian civilians. The Israeli-American Civic Action Network endorsed him in October 2026, citing that record; RJC’s PAC gave $5,000. Counter-case: a 1, since these are repeated posts in his own channel; but they target protesters rather than set out a position on the war, aid or weapons.
