Tier 5/6, between “Critical on most positions” and “Most critical of Israel / supports Palestine”

Position

A middle-school teacher running as an independent in VA-10. Answering iVoterGuide's 2026 questionnaire, he wrote that “Israel in its current form is an apartheid state and the U.S. should not be arming or giving cover to it as long as it continues to behave in such an immoral fashion,” and his issues page backs “a one-state solution granting Palestinians equality and citizenship,” while both his Ballotpedia surveys back “a one-state solution” with equality for all. His site condemns “the Israeli government’s plan to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians into other countries” and warns that “American support and protection cannot be guaranteed indefinitely,” while promising Jews “the right to live in their ancestral homeland.”

Why this tier

A 5/6, on a thin record: questionnaires and his campaign site. In his own words he backs “a one-state solution with equal rights for all inhabitants” (iVoterGuide, 2026), the plank he repeats in two Ballotpedia surveys (“A One-State Solution with Equality for All”) and on his issues page, where he calls it “ludicrous” that “people whose ancestors lived in a land 2000 years ago have a right to it today, while people whose ancestors lived there 100 years ago don’t.” He calls Israel “in its current form” an “apartheid state” the U.S. “should not be arming,” with no carve-out for defensive systems, and condemns “the Israeli government’s plan to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians.” What keeps him short of 6 are his hedges: he would “maintain Israel as a homeland for Jewish people as long as Palestinians … have the same right,” and allows “a state with a defined national identity.” Counter-case: nearer 4, if the Jewish-homeland clause is read as affirming a Jewish state.
