Tier 4/5, between “Critical / conditions aid” and “Critical on most positions”

Position

Ran for the MI-11 open seat Haley Stevens vacated, losing the Aug 4, 2026 Democratic primary to state Sen. Jeremy Moss. In her own voice: “I believe what’s happening in Gaza is a genocide,” and “I support a full arms embargo on Israel because there is no such thing as a defensive bomb.” Refuses AIPAC, corporate and utility PAC money. Endorsed by Track AIPAC and backed by Ro Khanna.

Why this tier

A 4/5, on a thin record: a June 2026 questionnaire and her campaign site. In the Downtown Publications questionnaire she wrote, “I believe what’s happening in Gaza is a genocide,” and “I support a full arms embargo on Israel because there is no such thing as a defensive bomb,” though the same answer objected to “unconditional military support” and called for enforcing the Leahy Law. Her campaign’s priorities page is narrower: she “will not support sending offensive weapons to Israel” and “supports cutting off all aid,” which ends aid but does not repeat the embargo. So the embargo appears once. She names the genocide in both, and says she takes no money from “corporate PACs, AIPAC, utility PACs.” No BDS, anti-Zionist or right-of-return position is on record. She lost the August 4 primary to Jeremy Moss. Counter-case: a 5, since both statements reject the idea of a defensive bomb.
