Alan Aversa

I · U.S. House, AZ-3 · Tier 4

Tier 4, “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

Socially conservative, pro-life No Labels candidate (“Life, Liberty, and Justice Under God”). His campaign’s foreign-policy plank reads: “Aversa is against U.S. involvement and funding of genocidal wars by the State of Israel, Ukraine, Iran, and elsewhere. He is ‘America first’; we have domestic issues that need to be addressed first.” Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Aversa answered: “The U.S. can remain on good terms with the State of Israel without sending it money that funds the genocide in Gaza.”

Why this tier

A 4, on a thin record: one platform line and two questionnaire answers (in 2024, as the Green Party nominee, he named “the U.S.’s policing of the world, toxic relationship with the State of Israel, and funding of the wars in Ukraine and elsewhere” as the biggest threat to national security). His campaign plank opposes “U.S. involvement and funding of genocidal wars by the State of Israel, Ukraine, Iran, and elsewhere” on America First grounds, and his 2026 iVoterGuide answer makes it about Israel and Gaza by name: the U.S. can stay “on good terms with the State of Israel without sending it money that funds the genocide in Gaza.” That names the genocide in his own voice and opposes the money that funds it. What holds it at 4 is that the end to the money is implied rather than pledged, and he states no position on weapons sales or Palestinians; no BDS, anti-Zionist or right-of-return position is on record. Counter-cases: 4/5, if the answer is read as a pledge to end the money; 3/4, if the plank’s America First frame is read as its root.
