Tier 4/5, between “Critical / conditions aid” and “Critical on most positions”

Position

Bronx high school English teacher (12 years), PSL organizer, and independent candidate on the November ballot against Ritchie Torres in NY-15. His platform: “End all US aid to Israel” — the people of the Bronx “did not consent to giving out our tax dollars to fund a genocide” — and once in office he will “support all efforts to impose an arms embargo on Israel” and “introduce legislation to end all US aid to Israel.” It frames the endpoint as pressure: cut off the funds and “the Israeli government would have no choice but to engage in peace negotiations.” Spoke at a People’s Forum event titled “Palestine: A Test of Democracy” (April 2026).

Why this tier

A 4/5. In his own words he would end all U.S. aid to Israel — the people of the Bronx “did not consent to giving out our tax dollars to fund a genocide” — and once in office would “support all efforts to impose an arms embargo on Israel” and “introduce legislation to end all US aid to Israel”: an embargo with no carve-out for defensive systems, beside the genocide named without hedging. What holds it short of 5 is that the pledge rests on one platform page and a panel remark at a People’s Forum event in April 2026; he is a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, but no dated record of years of Palestine organizing has been found. His platform frames the cutoff as pressure, so that “the Israeli government would have no choice but to engage in peace negotiations.” No anti-Zionist, BDS or right-of-return position appears in his own words. Counter-case: 5, if a longer record of his organizing on Palestine is documented.
