Andy Maidment

I · U.S. House, MO-6 · not rated

Position

No position on aid or arms to Israel found. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2022 questionnaire whether he supports “the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories,” he answered “Neutral”: “As someone of partial Arab ethnicity I am sympathetic to Palestinian independence. The United States need not be involved in this conflict. We usually just make things worse.” An Army veteran and IT security professional running as the Libertarian in MO-6 on limited government, lower taxes and “Peace and prosperity”: “Bring our troops home,” end “the Forever War” and leave the Middle East (“Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria—and no end in sight”), with no mention of Israel.

Why not rated

Not rated: his foreign-policy stance is general non-interventionism — bring the troops home, leave the Middle East, end the “forever wars” — which names no country's aid and says nothing about Israel; his one statement on the conflict is the 2022 answer quoted above, sympathetic to “Palestinian independence” but against U.S. involvement, with nothing on aid or arms. His 2026 survey names Thomas Massie as a model. Checked his campaign site (home, issues, about, media, “What is a Libertarian”) and his 2022, 2024 and 2026 Ballotpedia surveys. Unrated until a position on aid or arms to Israel is stated.
