Tier 5, “Critical on most positions”

Position

Her campaign platform's “End the Genocide” plank says “U.S. tax dollars must not fund Israel’s genocide in Gaza, forced displacement, collective punishment, apartheid, or illegal occupation. I will never vote to send U.S. weapons or military aid to Israel,” and her “AIPAC Explained” page says “The U.S. must decouple from the government of Israel.” In January 2024 she already demanded “a ceasefire” and “an end to our taxes being used to kill people around the world.” A San Fernando Valley community organizer on her fifth run for the seat, she faces Rep. Luz Rivas in an all-Democratic November race in CA-29 and has never taken AIPAC money. In an October 2026 Los Angeles Daily News questionnaire she wrote that “The U.S. shouldn’t give allies a blank check, and all aid should be conditional,” that “we must consider human rights abuses for our allies in Israel and the U.A.E.,” and that she “would have voted for the Massie Amendment,” the July 2026 House amendment to cut $3.3 billion in Foreign Military Financing to Israel.

Why this tier

A 5. “I will never vote to send U.S. weapons or military aid to Israel” is an unconditional cut-off of U.S. weapons, not conditioning, paired with the genocide, apartheid and occupation named in her own voice; her January 2024 demands for a ceasefire and an end to tax-funded killing show the stance predates this campaign. She stops short of 6: no anti-Zionist self-description, no BDS by name and no position on the right of return — her criticism of AIPAC's “zionist agenda” targets the lobby, not Israel's legitimacy. Counter-case: 4/5, since this is a challenger's pledge with no vote behind it, and her October 2026 questionnaire speaks the language of conditions (“all aid should be conditional”) even as it backs the Massie amendment to cut Israel’s military financing.
