Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”

Position

Author of the Stand with Israel Act (H.R.6118, Oct 2023), which would cut off all U.S. funding for the UN Human Rights Council until the Security Council and General Assembly condemn Hamas: “The United States should not fund the UN Human Rights Council until it stops targeting our closest ally,” she said, faulting the UN for “urging the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza” instead (her release, Oct 2023). She voted for all three aid packages (Nov 2023, Feb 2024, Apr 2024), the Tlaib censure, H.Res.894, both ICC sanctions bills, the ban on citing Gaza Health Ministry casualty figures and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill, and against the Greene and Massie cuts; she did not vote on the May 2024 bill forcing delivery of the paused bomb shipment. Her one split, a Nay on the Antisemitism Awareness Act (May 2024), she explained by saying the bill “included some language that would label some parts of the Bible as anti-Semitic” and “was irresponsibly rushed” (statement to the Tampa Bay Times, May 2024). In October 2025 she nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize over the Gaza ceasefire deal, and in June 2026 she cosponsored a resolution backing Netanyahu's initiative to transition U.S.-Israel ties toward mutual defense cooperation and joint economic investment. On Oct 23, 2026, sharing a Telegraph report linking Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin to men later sanctioned over ties to Iran, she wrote of the anti-war group: “This FOREIGN FUNDED NGO is communist AND under investigation by the DOJ.”

Why this tier

A clean 1. Writing the Stand with Israel Act — a bill to defund the UN Human Rights Council over its treatment of Israel, with 15 original cosponsors — is leadership through authored legislation, on top of support for every tracked Israel measure she voted on except the Antisemitism Awareness Act. That Nay, which she explained as an objection to language that “would label some parts of the Bible as anti-Semitic,” says nothing about the genocide in Gaza. There is no concern for Palestinian civilians in her own words: her one mention of “innocent Palestinians” cast them as Hamas's human shields in a release attacking the UN for prioritizing Gaza aid. Counter-case: 1/2 if a bill that never left committee is too thin for leadership.
