Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

IA-2 incumbent; won the June 2026 GOP Senate primary (Trump-endorsed) to succeed retiring Joni Ernst, faces Democrat Josh Turek and Libertarian Thomas Laehn in November. RJC-endorsed and repeatedly AIPAC-funded; the RJC release names her among eight Senate endorsees who have “stood firmly against the rising tide of antisemitism, in support of the US-Israel alliance” — a collective line, not an individual characterization. Anti-Iran hawk (backed maximum-pressure sanctions; voted repeatedly from March to September 2026 against war-powers resolutions to withdraw U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran, and at the October 14 debate, KTTC reported, said she wants the war to end but would not reverse those votes); voted for Israel aid and Iron Dome funding, and was an original cosponsor of the Israel Security Assistance Support Act (H.R.8369, May 2024), which would have forced delivery of the paused bomb shipment. In January 2024 she signed the Smith–Manning letter, whose signers “thoroughly reject” South Africa’s “charge of genocide” against Israel.

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1. She has a firm pro-Israel record — RJC-endorsed, repeatedly AIPAC-funded, voted Israel aid and Iron Dome funding, and an anti-Iran hawk who backed the 2026 strikes. But that is endorsement plus party-line votes plus Iran-hawkishness, not leadership on Israel policy: no Israel bill of hers was found, and her authored legislation centers on domestic issues such as agriculture, and she has no money-leadership and no maximalist Israel brand. With no statement of concern for Palestinian civilians found, a reliable pro-Israel record without leadership on Israel is a 1/2.
