Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”

Position

Libertarian running on non-interventionism and free trade. His campaign's “What I Stand For” page says “The United States should treat the Middle East with benign neglect. The United States’ ‘special relationship’ with Israel should end. We should treat Israel like any other allied nation”; his 2026 Ballotpedia survey adds that the special relationship “only leads the US into problems.” He calls U.S. participation in the Iran war unconstitutional and says Trump should be impeached for it.

Why this tier

A flat 3, on a thin record. Ending the “special relationship” is an Israel-specific pull-back, more than criticizing Netanyahu, but he still calls Israel an ally and states no position on weapons, military aid, Gaza or Palestinian civilians. The stance sits inside a general Libertarian non-interventionism (“benign neglect” of the region, cutting the Defense budget) rather than a judgment on Israel’s conduct. Counter-case: 3/4 if he explicitly backs ending military aid to Israel; 2/3 if “any other allied nation” is read as continued arms support.
