Bill Reeside
I · U.S. House, SC-1 · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
A nuclear engineer of 40 years who left corporate work for Habitat for Humanity, he runs on the deficit, Social Security and Medicare reform, an immigration overhaul and a military used “RARELY”: “peace through strength, not endless wars or blank checks for military intervention.” Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Reeside answered: “I agree with the world’s decision to,create Israel in 1947.I do not support a “two party solution”. I support selling military equipment to Israel. I 100% OPPOSE the joint Israeli-US “excursion” against Iran.”
A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Reeside wrote “I support selling military equipment to Israel” and that he does not support a “two party solution,” apparently meaning two states, though he also wrote “I 100% OPPOSE the joint Israeli-US ‘excursion’ against Iran.” Arms sales and a rejection of a Palestinian state are positions beyond ally words, and nothing in his record expresses concern for Palestinian civilians. His pledges to repeal existing war authorizations and block “nation building” are blanket stances that name no country. His 2025–26 Ballotpedia surveys and campaign site say nothing more on Israel. There is no leadership on the issue: no vote, bill or other act on Israel is on record. Counter-case: unrated until he says more.
