Blake Huber

I · U.S. Senate, Colorado · Tier 2/3

Tier 2/3, between “Mainstream pro-Israel” and “Pro-Israel, critical”

Position

A longtime Colorado approval-voting advocate — the Approval Voting Party's 2016 vice-presidential candidate and 2018 Secretary of State nominee — he is now the Libertarian Senate nominee; his 2018 Ballotpedia survey answers concern voting methods. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Huber answered: “I am deeply troubled by the suffering in Gaza and by the serious accusations that Israel’s conduct may amount to genocide. Allegations of that magnitude should be investigated impartially and judged on evidence and international law, not political allegiance. I believe the United States should support the protection of innocent civilians, the release of hostages, and a lasting peace that respects the rights and security of both Israelis and Palestinians.”

Why this tier

A 2/3, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Huber wrote that he is “deeply troubled by the suffering in Gaza and by the serious accusations that Israel’s conduct may amount to genocide,” which “should be investigated impartially and judged on evidence and international law, not political allegiance,” and that the U.S. should support “the protection of innocent civilians, the release of hostages, and a lasting peace.” That is concern for Gaza and a call to investigate the genocide charge, with no step on aid or weapons and no right-to-defend line. He has no campaign site or 2026 Ballotpedia survey, his 2018 Ballotpedia survey addresses voting methods only, and the Libertarian Party of Colorado candidate flyer lists only voting methods, immigration and regulation as his issues. Counter-cases: 3, taking the call to investigate the genocide charge as distance from Israel; 2, reading the even-handed frame as decisive.
