Brian Lambert

I · U.S. House, FL-14 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

A 20-year Navy veteran (aircraft mechanic, flight engineer and intelligence specialist) and the Libertarian nominee in FL-14, he runs on fiscal responsibility, constitutional limits and peace through strength; his defense page pledges to defend “ourselves, our allies, and our national interests” without naming any ally. Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Lambert answered: “Yes, the relationship matters — Israel is a friend, a democracy, and a sovereign nation with every right to defend itself. But we are over $40 trillion in debt, and I don't believe we can keep writing checks abroad while Americans go without at home. I would phase out foreign aid across the board, not single out one ally. Partnership should rest on shared interests, trade, and intelligence cooperation — not a permanent transfer from our taxpayers.”

Why this tier

A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he called Israel “a friend, a democracy, and a sovereign nation with every right to defend itself,” with no word for Palestinian civilians. He would “phase out foreign aid across the board, not single out one ally”: a stance on all foreign aid that says nothing about Israel in particular. There is no leadership on the issue. His campaign site and 2026 Ballotpedia survey never mention Israel. Counter-case: a 2, since the phase-out would end aid to Israel along with everyone else’s.
