Carl Lambrecht
R · U.S. House, IL-10 · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
In his 2026 general-election iVoterGuide questionnaire he wrote that Israel is “our strongest Allied in the middle east” and, of the forty countries he has visited, “the closest to the USA.” An optics manufacturer and the Republican nominee in IL-10, he lost a 2024 race for Illinois House District 58; Ballotpedia lists no campaign website for him.
A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer and one forum answer. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, Lambrecht called Israel “our strongest Allied in the middle east” and, of the forty countries he has visited, “the closest to the USA.” That answer is unqualified support, with nothing on aid, weapons, Gaza or Palestinian civilians. At an October 10, 2026 League of Women Voters forum, asked what Congress should do about humanitarian and military assistance to Gaza, he said “I don’t think we should make any military assistance to Gaza at all” and “I think humanitarian efforts should be, but carefully done to make sure that arms aren’t being transported at the same time,” then turned to the Abraham Accords and Saudi support for Israel: aid for Gaza with a smuggling caveat, and nothing on Israel’s conduct. There is no campaign site to check, and his Ballotpedia profile records only his career and his 2024 and 2026 races (no survey). There is no leadership on the issue: no vote, bill or other act on Israel is on record. Counter-case: unrated until he says more.
