Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

Has made support for Israel a central theme of her NY-12 campaign: her platform pledges to “Unapologetically stand with the Jewish community of New York City and our ally Israel,” she calls herself an “unapologetic supporter of Israel” and says “Israel is the bedrock of liberty and stability in the Middle East” (Sep 2026). After the July 2026 Massie amendment vote she wrote, “If you support Israel as a U.S. ally, you can no longer trust today’s Democratic Party to uphold that interest. But you can trust me,” and she has criticized efforts in Congress to condition or reduce US security assistance to Israel. Answering a Straus News question on antisemitism “sometimes cloaked in ideological ‘Anti-Zionism’” (Chelsea News, October 23, 2026), she wrote: “if elected, I pledge to track down the sources of funding that are underwriting it. This trend is not organic and the people behind it should be exposed and held to account. Not by words, but by targeted actions,” and pledged to hold accountable “the individuals enabling this behavior.”

Why this tier

A 1/2, the textbook outcome for a challenger. Her record is unqualified support — criticizing efforts in Congress to condition or reduce military aid, attacking Democrats over the Massie vote, marching in the Israel Day Parade — with no concern for Palestinian civilians expressed on her site, in her Ballotpedia survey or in her interviews. It is not a clean 1: making Israel a campaign theme is positioning rather than leadership, and she has no authored measure, anti-BDS enforcement, marquee fundraising or maximalist rhetoric about Palestinians. Open to a flat 2 if a Gaza-civilian statement surfaces.
