Carrie Buck

R · U.S. House, NV-1 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

A Nevada state senator since 2020, she was one of four primary sponsors of Senate Joint Resolution 11 (March 2025), which calls Israel “the United States of America’s closest ally in the Middle East” and states that “the Nevada Legislature hereby expresses its support for the State of Israel”; it died in committee without a hearing. Asked in September 2026 whether the U.S. should reduce its support for Israel, she answered no, calling Israel “one of America’s strongest allies”: “I do not support reducing our commitment to its security.” No statement on Gaza or Palestinian civilians found. A charter-school leader, she is the Trump-endorsed Republican challenging Rep. Dina Titus, running on education, public safety and affordability.

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1, on a thin record: one resolution and one questionnaire answer. As a Nevada state senator she was one of four primary sponsors of Senate Joint Resolution 11 (March 2025), introduced under Sen. John Ellison’s name, which calls Israel “the United States of America’s closest ally in the Middle East” and declares the Legislature’s support for the State of Israel; it died in committee without a hearing. That puts her name beside another senator’s on one symbolic resolution, not legislation she led, and no other Israel measure, caucus role or anti-BDS work of hers is documented. No statement of hers on Gaza or Palestinian civilians has been found, and in her congressional campaign she has opposed reducing U.S. support for Israel, “one of America’s strongest allies”: “I do not support reducing our commitment to its security” (September 2026). Counter-case: 1, since she put her name to an Israel resolution as one of its primary sponsors.
