The mayor of Lyons, a Democrat running as an independent for the open IL-4 seat on affordability, immigration reform and public safety, he alone, by the Chicago Tribune's account of an April 29, 2026 forum, “said Israel's war actions in Gaza do not constitute a genocide”; his campaign platform does not address Israel.
Not rated: his one reported remark on Israel rejects the genocide characterization, and it is known only through the Tribune's and Chronicle Media's paraphrases; no statement of his own on Israel, military aid, weapons or Gaza's civilians was found. His campaign site (home, about, platform) has no Israel text, and Ballotpedia carries only the Chronicle's account; coverage of the September 29, 2026 Fox Chicago debate shows no Israel question.
