Christopher Reichard

D · U.S. House, MO-8 · Tier 3/4

Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

In an April 25, 2026 talk in Poplar Bluff, posted by his campaign as “Chris Reichard on Israel, Iran & Forever Wars,” he said that “as it comes to supporting Israel, they do not get another dime from us as long as they are committing war crimes, committing genocide across the world from Lebanon to Palestine to Iran. They’re dragging us into the genocide with them”; in March 2026 he posted, “I don’t want AIPAC funding.” A disabled Army veteran of three Iraq tours and IBEW electrician, he runs on labor rights, veterans' benefits and the Full Cost of War Act, saying, “As a product of forever wars, I support diplomacy first and foremost.”

Why this tier

A 3/4, on a thin record: one recorded talk. In remarks in Poplar Bluff on April 25, 2026, posted by his campaign as “Chris Reichard on Israel, Iran & Forever Wars,” he said that “as it comes to supporting Israel, they do not get another dime from us as long as they are committing war crimes, committing genocide across the world from Lebanon to Palestine to Iran. They’re dragging us into the genocide with them.” That names the genocide in his own voice and would cut off U.S. money on Israel’s conduct, and in March 2026, asked on Bluesky to promise not to take AIPAC money, he wrote “I don’t want AIPAC funding.” But it is one passage in a talk about the Iran war and forever wars: his 2026 survey and campaign issue, news and endorsement pages oppose “forever wars” without naming Israel, and he has not repeated the pledge or addressed arms sales. Counter-case: a 4, since a challenger who names the genocide and would end the money while it goes on argues the cutoff on Israel’s conduct.
