Chuck Gray
R · U.S. House, Wyoming at-large · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Asked in his 2026 iVoterGuide questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered: “We must continue to have an America First foreign policy. Our relationship with Israel is important, and it must always be grounded in policies that support America's interests.” Wyoming’s secretary of state and a former state representative, he won the August 2026 GOP primary for the open WY-AL seat running on energy, affordability and election integrity; his campaign site does not mention Israel.
A 1/2, on a thin record: a questionnaire answer and a 2024 rally remark. Asked by iVoterGuide in 2026 whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered that “Our relationship with Israel is important, and it must always be grounded in policies that support America's interests.” That is support framed as U.S. interest, with nothing on aid, weapons, the war or Palestinian civilians; his “No forever wars” line is a blanket stance. As secretary of state he spoke at a March 7, 2024 “Stand in Solidarity with Israel” event at the Wyoming Capitol, where, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle reported, he called the conflict a “struggle between good and evil.” Nothing on his record is leadership on the issue, and his campaign site, Ballotpedia profile and earlier questionnaire say nothing more. Counter-case: unrated, reading the answer as America First transactionalism, until he says more.
