Chuong Vo

R · U.S. House, CA-45 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

His campaign site, under “Standing with Allies, Avoiding New Wars,” says: “I support Israel because it is unequivocally in the national security interests of the United States,” adding that America should “help allies with technology, training, and equipment; keep aid accountable” while keeping U.S. troops out of open-ended conflicts. No statement on Gaza, Palestinian civilians or conditions on aid to Israel was found.

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1. His one position is unconditional support framed as U.S. national interest, with no concern for Palestinian civilians — so not a flat 2; “keep aid accountable” is a general line about all foreign aid, not a condition on Israel. No leadership on the issue: his offices were municipal, and there is no authored measure, anti-BDS enforcement or marquee fundraising. Open to a flat 2 if a statement of concern for Palestinian civilians surfaces.
