Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”
Asked by Lone Star Left (Aug 2026) whether she supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human-rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, she answered: “Yes. Israel has long been an ally of the United States, and I’d love to keep it that way. But when I see my ally dropping bombs on maternity wards, I tend to rethink the company I keep. At the very least, the United States should not be funding this type of action.” An Austin attorney challenging Rep. August Pfluger in the redrawn TX-11, she runs on single-payer health care, abortion rights, immigration reform and Congress reclaiming its powers from the president.
A 3/4, on a single questionnaire answer. As a challenger, she has no votes in Congress, so her words are the record: she answers yes to ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human-rights abuses, Israel included, and says the United States should not fund strikes like the bombing of maternity wards — a pledge to withhold support for Israel's offensive operations. What holds her short of a clean 4 is the frame around it: she calls Israel an ally she would “love to keep,” offers the funding cutoff as a minimum (“At the very least”) rather than a defined policy, and has made no Block the Bombs pledge and no “genocide” in her own words. Counter-case: a flat 3, if the answer is read as ally-framed criticism of Israel's conduct rather than a weapons commitment.
