Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

In his September 1, 2025 campaign kickoff speech, posted on his site, he said “we can stop funding war and genocide and we can invest in the peace and prosperity for all of God’s children,” naming no country; his campaign tagged two August 2025 TikTok posts “#freepalestine”; and in November 2025, answering a Bluesky user who asked him not to take AIPAC money, he wrote “I will never accept AIPAC money!” In a Good Morning Comrade interview posted October 26, 2026, contrasting the lack of guaranteed health care with what Washington spends, he named Israel himself: “We have unlimited money to send to Israel to bomb schools, hospitals, tents, whatever. We have unlimited money to bomb a school on the very first day in the war in Iran.” A Union Parish-raised vegetable farmer and former food-policy advocate challenging Speaker Mike Johnson, he runs on Medicare for All, overturning Citizens United, voting rights and food access, with endorsements from the Louisiana Democratic Party, the Northwest Louisiana AFL-CIO and Progressive Voters Network.

Why this tier

A 3/4, on a thin record: one line in his kickoff speech, read in its context. In his September 1, 2025 campaign kickoff, posted on his site, he said “we can stop funding war and genocide.” He named no country, but the context is clear: that August his campaign tagged two TikTok posts “#freepalestine,” and in November 2025, asked on Bluesky not to take AIPAC money, he wrote “I will never accept AIPAC money!” Read that way, it is a call to stop U.S. funding for Israel’s war on Gaza, named as a genocide and argued on its conduct. He has said nothing on arms sales, and his campaign site and both Ballotpedia surveys (November 2025 and October 2026) never mention Israel, Gaza or Palestine. In an interview posted October 26, 2026, he named Israel in his own voice for the first time on record, objecting to “unlimited money to send to Israel to bomb schools, hospitals, tents, whatever,” though without a pledge on aid or arms. Counter-case: a 3, because the speech never names Israel and the rest is one hashtag in a long string on general campaign posts and a reply about donors; a 4 would take the same words as a challenger naming the genocide and pledging to end the funding.
