Craig Goldman

R · U.S. House, TX-12 · Tier 1

Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”

Position

Co-chairs the House Abraham Accords Caucus, relaunched in February 2025 with Ann Wagner, Brad Schneider and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and is lead sponsor of the Abraham Accords Expansion Act of 2026 (H.R.9147, June 2026) and of H.Res.882 (November 2025) welcoming Kazakhstan into the Accords, a step he said would “bolster support for Israel among Arab states”. The co-chairs’ October 2025 statement on the Gaza deal welcomed an agreement to “end the war in Gaza, release the hostages, and surge aid into Gaza” and looked ahead to “the disarming of Hamas” “so that our ally Israel will never again be threatened.” Since taking office in January 2025 he has voted for the ICC-sanctions bill, the FY2027 State Department bill and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill and against the Greene (2025) and Massie (2026) cuts, and was an original cosponsor of the July 2026 bill to replace UNRWA (H.R.9680).

Why this tier

A clean 1. Goldman leads on Israel rather than only voting for it: he co-chairs the Abraham Accords Caucus and wrote both the 2026 Expansion Act and the Kazakhstan resolution, the latter framed in his own words as building support for Israel. His votes since January 2025 are zero-daylight — ICC sanctions, the anti-boycott bill, No on both cuts to Israel’s military aid, an original cosponsorship of the anti-UNRWA bill. The caucus’s October 2025 line about surging aid into Gaza came in a joint statement he issued with the other co-chairs, tied to the hostages and Israel’s security, rather than as a standalone concern for Palestinian civilians. Counter-case: his public record on the war itself is thin — his release archive holds no Gaza statement beyond the caucus’s joint one.
