Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
At a September 2026 Progressive Indiana Network town hall she said, “We need to hold accountable what’s happened in Gaza. And the United Nations defines that as a genocide. And our allies are all defining that as a genocide,” paired that with stopping Hamas’s attacks, called for a ceasefire and a two-state outcome, and said “we can’t leave Israel high and dry. They are an ally,” but “I think they do need to be held accountable for their part”; asked “should we condition military aid to Israel?”, she answered “Yes.” A biology and environmental-science teacher and small-business owner from Bartholomew County, she runs on Medicare for All, affordability, public education and anti-corruption, and says no president should “take military action without congressional approval”.
A 3, on a thin record: one answer at a September 22, 2026 Progressive Indiana Network town hall. Asked about military aid to Israel, she said, “We need to hold accountable what’s happened in Gaza. And the United Nations defines that as a genocide. And our allies are all defining that as a genocide,” paired that with stopping Hamas’s attacks, and called for a ceasefire and a two-state outcome. Pressed by the host, “should we condition military aid to Israel?”, she answered “Yes.” Conditioning military aid is the shape of the Block the Bombs Act: a limit on weapons, not an end to aid. She keeps the alliance (“we can’t leave Israel high and dry. They are an ally”), and the genocide finding she cites is the UN’s, not her own charge. Her campaign site and both 2026 Ballotpedia surveys say nothing about Israel, Gaza or Palestine. Counter-cases: 3/4, since in the same answer she set the billions in aid to Israel against Americans going hungry; 2/3, since her “Yes” is one word in reply to the host’s follow-up.
