Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”

Position

His campaign's foreign-policy page pledges to “Take urgent action to support peace in the Middle East” by “stopping offensive weapons sales while supporting defensive systems like the Iron Dome,” and to use U.S. leverage for “a two-state solution that disarms Hamas, establishes a democratic Palestinian state, halts illegal settlements,” saying America must ensure “our resources never contribute to harm, especially for children.” A Richardson city council member and former teacher, he is the Democratic nominee for the open TX-32 seat against Jace Yarbrough.

Why this tier

A 3, on a thin record: one campaign-site plank, in two versions. With no votes in Congress, his platform is the record. His foreign-policy page pledges to “Take urgent action to support peace in the Middle East” by “stopping offensive weapons sales while supporting defensive systems like the Iron Dome,” and to use U.S. leverage for “a two-state solution that disarms Hamas, establishes a democratic Palestinian state, halts illegal settlements,” so that “our resources never contribute to harm, especially for children.” The May 2026 version of his issues page also said “Israel has the right to defend its people, and the United States must stand firmly in support of its security,” beside “no country should target civilians, block humanitarian aid, or use collective punishment as a tactic”; his foreign-policy page as of October 2026 carries the weapons pledge without that paragraph. He has not used the word genocide. Counter-cases: 3/4, since the plank would stop offensive weapons sales, not just U.S. funding of them; 2/3, since it is one platform plank, not a commitment to Block the Bombs.
