Danny Minton

D · U.S. House, TX-6 · Tier 3/4

Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

Asked by Lone Star Left whether he supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, he answered “Yes,” adding that “Our foreign policy should reflect a consistent commitment to human rights at home and abroad” (published August 2026). His campaign says he “Will not take money from AIPAC or other foreign influence peddlers” and that Rep. Jake Ellzey “Allows AIPAC to control his vote for the war in Iran”; Track AIPAC endorses him. A former Republican who worked in sales and women's healthcare, he is the TX-6 Democratic nominee against Ellzey.

Why this tier

A 3/4, on one answer. Asked whether he supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human-rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, he answered “Yes,” framing it as “a consistent commitment to human rights at home and abroad” (August 2026). That is a yes to a general human-rights rule, with no genocide named and nothing else on Gaza or Israel in his own words: past a supportive-but-critical 3, short of the fuller record a clean 4 needs. Open to a clean 4 with a fuller statement of his own on aid or weapons.
