Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
In his 2022 run in the district’s Republican primary, asked by iVoterGuide whether he supports the BDS movement, he answered “Strongly Disagree” and wrote: “Israel is the only true democracy and best ally we have in the Middle East. They are a highly innovative and educated society. Working closely with them helps our nation and our position in the Middle East.” His 2026 campaign materials and questionnaires say nothing on Israel. An Air Force veteran (retired 2017) and aerospace engineer (Notre Dame, Army War College) challenging Rep. Suhas Subramanyam, he runs on public safety, “peace through strength” defense funding, fiscal responsibility, energy and veterans.
A thin 1/2. His one statement on Israel comes from his 2022 run in the district’s Republican primary: asked by iVoterGuide whether he supports BDS, he answered “Strongly Disagree” and wrote that “Israel is the only true democracy and best ally we have in the Middle East,” and that working closely with Israel “helps our nation and our position in the Middle East.” That is unqualified support, with nothing on Palestinian civilians, military aid, weapons or Gaza. On a thin record: one questionnaire answer, four years old. His 2026 Ballotpedia survey, key-issues pages, blog and endorsement page say nothing on Israel; he left the Israel questions blank in his 2026 iVoterGuide profiles, and left Cardinal News’s whole questionnaire, its question on Israel and Gaza included, unanswered. He holds no office and has led nothing on the issue, and his FEC filings show no pro-Israel PAC money in 2022, 2024 or 2026. Counter-case: unrated, since the answer predates this race and he passed up the 2026 questions on Israel.
