Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Asked by The Nevada Independent (Sept 2026) whether the U.S. should reduce its support for Israel, he answered “No,” describing Israel as “a plural society in which all faiths can practice, and even be elected to office” and saying his opponent “has appeased the radical fringe left that denies the atrocities committed by Hamas.” His own platform does not mention Israel, but his 2026 general-election questionnaire for iVoterGuide calls Israel “one of America’s strongest and most reliable allies in a volatile region,” a partnership that “advances U.S. national security through intelligence sharing, counterterrorism cooperation, and military coordination.” A retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and Nevada small-business owner, he is the Trump-endorsed nominee for the open NV-2 seat. On October 24, 2026 he shared on X a post and video by former ambassador Jeff Gunter that called his opponent a “radical progressive Hamas sympathizer” who “has said publicly she wants to fund UNRWA,” adding that Gunter “did his research on Teresa Benitez-Thompson.”
A 1/2, not a clean 1. His stated positions are zero-daylight — no reduction in U.S. support for Israel, defended through an attack on his opponent framed around Hamas's atrocities, and praise for Israel as one of America’s “strongest and most reliable allies” — with no expressed concern for Palestinian civilians. But they are two questionnaire answers from a first-time nominee with no leadership on the issue: no authored Israel legislation, no lobby fundraising operation, no Israel-centered brand.
