Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”
Said after October 7 that “an attack on Israel is an attack on America” and that the U.S. “should provide every tool they need” (Oct 2023), and called aid essential “to ensure Israel survives the greatest threat to its existence to date” (Nov 2023). He was an original cosponsor of the May 2024 bill to force delivery of the arms Biden had paused and of Gary Palmer’s June 2024 resolution condemning the campus encampments and their funders, and in May 2024 joined Beth Van Duyne’s “Hamas Supporters Have No Home Here Act” to deport noncitizens who commit crimes at what it calls pro-terrorist or antisemitic rallies, targeting “radical protestors occupying campuses.” He voted for every tracked Israel measure — the Israel-only supplementals (Nov 2023, Feb 2024), the April 2024 package, ICC sanctions (Jun 2024 and Jan 2025), the amendment barring the State Department from citing Gaza Health Ministry casualty figures (Jun 2024) and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill — and against the 2025 Greene and 2026 Massie cuts; his campaign site pledges that the U.S. “should unequivocally support” Israel. In January 2024 he signed the Smith–Manning letter, whose signers “thoroughly reject” South Africa’s “charge of genocide” against Israel.
A 1. He has joined a pattern of measures aimed at campus protesters and their backers in the United States. In May 2024 he joined Beth Van Duyne’s Hamas Supporters Have No Home Here Act (H.R.8221), to deport noncitizens who commit crimes at what it calls pro-terrorist or antisemitic rallies, announcing: “America must not tolerate the criminal behavior by radical protestors occupying campuses across the country, including those the United States has allowed into our country on student visas.” In June 2024 he was an original cosponsor of Gary Palmer’s resolution condemning the campus encampments and their funders (H.Res.1300), and he voted for the Antisemitism Awareness Act (IHRA, May 2024) and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill. He also cosponsored the May 2024 bill forcing delivery of the paused bombs and has voted for every tracked Israel measure; no concern for Palestinian civilians in his own words was found. Counter-case: 1/2, since he has authored no Israel legislation (0 of 102 sponsored bills and amendments) and each of these measures was another member’s.
