Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Pharmacist and Tennessee Republican who said in October 2023 that “it is their [Israel's] decision to go in and take Hamas out, and I support that fully”, adding in the same local TV interview that aid stuck on the Egyptian side should reach “those Palestinian refugees” because “the Palestinians themselves are not bad people, it is Hamas.” She is lead sponsor of the United States-Abraham Accords Cooperation and Security Act (H.R.7155, January 2024; reintroduced as H.R.1794, March 2025), which would open an FDA office in an Abraham Accords country to help companies there through US drug and device approval. She voted for every tracked Israel measure — the 2023–24 supplementals, censuring Tlaib, H.Res.894, the Antisemitism Awareness Act, the bill forcing delivery of paused weapons, both ICC-sanctions bills and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill — and against the Greene (2025) and Massie (2026) cuts. In January 2024 she signed the Smith–Manning letter, whose signers “thoroughly reject” South Africa’s “charge of genocide” against Israel.
A 1/2, not a clean 1. The voting record is zero-daylight, and her one remark about aid for Palestinian refugees came in the same October 2023 interview in which she fully backed Israel’s decision to “take Hamas out”, so it reads alongside support for the assault rather than as concern in its own right — short of a flat 2. Her authored Abraham Accords bill is an FDA regulatory-cooperation office with no Israel-specific aim, and she has not promoted it publicly; that is not the leadership that marks a clean 1. Counter-cases both ways: a clean 1 if the twice-introduced Abraham Accords bill is counted as authored Israel legislation; a flat 2 if the October 2023 aid remark is read as concern for Palestinian civilians.
