Tier 2, “Mainstream pro-Israel”
A retired Navy rear admiral — defense attaché in New Delhi and National Security Council senior director for South Asia — challenging Rep. Lauren Boebert, she runs on lowering costs by “ending the Iran War and the tariffs,” rural Colorado and campaign-finance reform, and attacks Boebert’s votes to continue the Iran war. The Colorado Sun’s October 2026 voter guide reports that she would end taxpayer-funded assistance to Israel while still selling it weapons on a “case by case basis”; in her words, “Israel has the ability to pay for their own weapons for defense.” In a Denver Post interview published October 26, 2026, she called the Iran war Trump’s “war of choice,” one that, by the paper’s account of her argument, Israel and the United States started while negotiations with Iran were under way: “We are weakened as a result of this. There is no great outcome that is going to come out of this. We have lost a lot of credibility in the world.”
A 2, on a thin record: one voter-guide answer. Asked by The Colorado Sun in October 2026 whether U.S. military aid to Israel should continue, she would end taxpayer-funded assistance but still sell Israel weapons on a “case by case basis,” by the paper’s account, because “Israel has the ability to pay for their own weapons for defense.” Ending the aid breaks with the bipartisan commitment, but the argument is about who pays: U.S. weapons keep reaching Israel by sale, and she says nothing about Gaza, Palestinians or how the weapons are used. Her Ballotpedia survey, platform and every press release on her site are silent on Israel and Gaza, and her criticism of the Iran war, which by The Denver Post’s account she says Israel and the United States started during negotiations, is about U.S. interests, not Israel’s conduct toward Palestinians. Counter-cases: 2/3, giving the end of aid more weight; 1/2, since she expresses no concern for Palestinian civilians.
