Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
FL-24 incumbent who is not running for re-election in 2026; Oliver Gilbert won the Aug 18, 2026 Democratic primary for the seat. A firmly pro-Israel Democrat in her own voice — “We must stand with Israel, our strongest ally and the only democracy in the Middle East”; “when Israel is strong, America is strong.” One of 12 Democrats who crossed party lines for the Nov 2023 GOP Israel-aid bill and one of 22 who voted that month to censure Rashida Tlaib, a signatory of a letter backing continued aid without conditions or reductions, a backer of the anti-BDS resolution, and she wears blue every Wednesday for the hostages still held by Hamas. Cosponsored Salazar’s pro-Israel resolution. In her own November 2023 statement on the hostage deal she said she was “glad that much-needed aid will be allowed to flow into Gaza to address the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people”; her other aid-to-Gaza language sits inside pro-Israel vehicles (her April 2024 supplemental statement; the May 2025 DMFI-organized 41-Democrat statement). She also signed the anti-ICC letter, and constituents seeking a ceasefire meeting were turned away for months — her issues page's only Gaza reference is the hostages.
A 1/2, not a clean 1. Her record is firmly pro-Israel but not leadership: she signs, cosponsors and votes — the no-conditions aid letter, the anti-BDS resolution, the anti-ICC letter, the Tlaib censure (one of 22 Democrats), the November 2023 Republican Israel-only bill (one of 12 Democrats) and the February 2024 standalone Israel bill (one of 46). Her own words for Palestinians come in one sentence of her November 2023 statement on the hostage deal: she was “glad that much-needed aid will be allowed to flow into Gaza to address the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people,” in a statement that closes on her “unwavering support” for “Israel’s ongoing efforts to secure the release of all hostages.” Her other aid-to-Gaza language sits inside pro-Israel vehicles, and her issues page’s only Gaza reference is the hostages. Counter-case: a flat 2, since that sentence speaks to Palestinian needs without invoking Israel’s self-defense, and she voted against the November 2023 Hamas-financing sanctions bill (one of 45 Democrats), the June 2024 ban on citing Gaza’s casualty figures and the September 2026 anti-boycott bill.
