Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Asked in iVoterGuide’s 2026 general-election questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he answered: “Yes, this is true because Israel shares many Western cultural and political values and serves as a strategically important ally in the Middle East.” A contractor and homebuilder running on the Republican and Independent Party lines against Rep. Joe Courtney, he runs on tax relief, housing, AI guardrails and the border; his platform’s foreign-aid line is “My stance on foreign aid is simple: America First,” and in the same questionnaire he chose the view that the U.S. “has become too involved in others’ policies.”
A thin 1/2. His one statement on Israel is his 2026 iVoterGuide answer: asked whether the U.S. relationship with Israel is important, he wrote “Yes, this is true because Israel shares many Western cultural and political values and serves as a strategically important ally in the Middle East.” That is unqualified support, with nothing on military aid, weapons, Gaza or Palestinian civilians, and he holds no office and has led nothing on the issue. On a thin record: that one answer. His America First line on foreign aid names no country, and in the same questionnaire he chose the view that the U.S. “has become too involved in others’ policies”; both are blanket stances, not daylight on Israel. His Ballotpedia survey and campaign site never mention Israel, Gaza or Palestine, and his FEC filings show no pro-Israel PAC money in 2022, 2024 or 2026. Counter-case: unrated, reading the whole record as America First non-intervention that would reach Israel too.
