Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
Republican nominee in a battleground seat whose 2026 iVoterGuide answer is emphatic: “Israel is our strongest ally in the most dangerous region on earth, and that relationship matters strategically, morally, and yes, for me personally as a person of faith. Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East. When Israel is secure, America is more secure.” On foreign policy generally he takes an “America First” line against serving “as the world’s police force”; his campaign site does not address Israel.
A 1/2, not a clean 1. His stated position is unqualified, faith-inflected support for Israel with no expressed concern for Palestinian civilians, which places him at 1/2. He is a first-time federal candidate with no Israel legislation, lobby fundraising role or hardline brand, so there is no leadership on the issue. His America First skepticism of foreign entanglements is general and does not temper the Israel answer.
