Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
Asked on WKNO’s Behind the Headlines (aired October 9, 2026) whether she would cut U.S. military and other support for Israel, she said “I would like to see that aid cut, absolutely,” added that “it’s not cutting the aid to the troops,” and said “Yes” when the host asked whether she meant cutting aid to Israeli troops. The Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk from 2018 to 2026, she runs on lowering costs, farmers and healthcare; her issues page pledges to vote to end the war in Iran and to stand up to “needless wars (Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, Greenland, etc),” with no mention of Israel.
A 3, on a thin record: one October 2026 television answer. Asked on WKNO’s Behind the Headlines whether she would cut U.S. military and other support for Israel during the war in Gaza, she said “I would like to see that aid cut, absolutely,” added that “it’s not cutting the aid to the troops,” and said “Yes” when the host asked whether she meant aid to Israeli troops. Just before, on Ukraine, she said she wants more money spent “here in the United States, not necessarily internationally.” That is a yes to a host’s question about cutting aid to Israel, framed as spending at home. A cut is not an end, the hedge leaves its reach unclear, and she gives no argument from Israel’s conduct and says nothing about Gaza’s people or the genocide. Her issues page (against the Iran war and other “needless wars”), 2026 Ballotpedia survey and Bluesky posts never mention Israel or Gaza, and she left iVoterGuide’s Israel question unanswered. Counter-case: 3/4, since “absolutely” makes it a firm call, specific to Israel, to cut its military aid.
