Jake Johnson

D · U.S. House, MN-1 · not rated

Position

No position on aid or weapons to Israel found; at one of his town halls, when a man demanded he call Israel’s actions in Gaza a genocide, he replied, “It’s not a term I’m going to use” (Dana Milbank, The Washington Sun, October 14, 2026). A Rochester high-school math teacher and self-described Blue Dog endorsed by Sen. Tina Smith and former Gov. Arne Carlson, he runs against Rep. Brad Finstad on costs, anti-corruption and data centers, and on ending the Iran war — “another reckless war in the Middle East.”

Why not rated

Not rated: his 2026 survey, campaign priorities and news releases address the Iran war and “another endless war in the Middle East” but never Israel or Gaza. His one reported remark on the subject is that refusal to call it a genocide; nothing on aid or weapons to Israel.
