Tier 3, “Pro-Israel, critical”
A Cass County engineer making his second run as the Green nominee in MI-5. His campaign site faults Rep. Tim Walberg because “he does not understand that there needs to be a two-state solution” and because “he was quoted as saying that we ought to just nuke Gaza,” and says Israel has spent decades “expanding it's [sic] territory by just confiscating lands and not ever allowing for a true Palestinian state.” He opposes the 2026 Iran war, which he says the U.S. joined because “Trump went along with Netanyahu.”
A flat 3, on a thin record. He criticizes Israel's conduct in his own words — decades of land confiscation that block a Palestinian state — and faults Walberg for, in his telling, saying “we ought to just nuke Gaza”, which is more than the two-state boilerplate or the Iran framing that earn no credit on their own. But he states no position on military aid, weapons or the genocide, and his framing stays even-handed (“the loss of lives on both sides”; Walberg “does not understand the Middle East problem as Jews continue to die”), so nothing reaches toward 3/4. Counter-case: 2/3, if two states plus criticism of the occupation, with no step on arms, is read as the near edge of supportive-but-critical.
