Jeff Wilson

R · U.S. House, IL-13 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

In his 2026 general-election iVoterGuide questionnaire he wrote: “The U.S.—Israel alliance is essential to American national security, Middle East stability, the fight against terrorism, and mutual prosperity. Israel is America’s only reliable democratic ally in the Middle East.” A Navy submarine veteran, nuclear engineer and Champaign County Board member running to back Trump’s “America First” agenda, he campaigns on nuclear energy, costs, parental rights and border security; in an October 2026 interview he supported the war on Iran (“I’m supporting the executive action to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon”) but said nothing about Israel.

Why this tier

A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer. In his 2026 iVoterGuide questionnaire he called the U.S.–Israel alliance “essential to American national security, Middle East stability, the fight against terrorism, and mutual prosperity” and Israel “America’s only reliable democratic ally in the Middle East”: unqualified support, with nothing on aid, weapons, Gaza or Palestinian civilians. There is no leadership on the issue. His support for the Iran war is not a stance on Israel, and nothing on his campaign site (home, Meet Jeff, Issues, News) or his Ballotpedia profile addresses Israel, Gaza or Palestine. Counter-case: unrated until he says more.
