Jeffrey Hulum III
D · U.S. House, MS-4 · not rated
No statement on Israel, Gaza or Palestine in his own words found. As a Mississippi state representative he voted for HCR 53 and SCR 571 honoring Israel’s 75th anniversary (March 2023, each 119–0), for HB 768 making the state’s anti-BDS law, the Israel Support Act of 2019, permanent (March 2024, 104–2) and for SCR 531 recognizing the new Mississippi-Israel Joint Legislative Caucus (March 2025, 113–0), but against SB 2226, which made the same law permanent, raised the cap on state investment in Israeli bonds from $20 million to $50 million and became law (April 2024, 81–24). A retired Army sergeant major and Gulfport nonprofit founder, he runs on working families, veterans and justice reform against Rep. Mike Ezell.
Not rated: his record on Israel is five state votes that point both ways — Yeas on three unanimous resolutions (two for Israel’s 75th anniversary in 2023, one recognizing the Mississippi-Israel Joint Legislative Caucus in 2025) and on HB 768 to make Mississippi’s anti-BDS law permanent, but a Nay four weeks after HB 768 on SB 2226, the version that became law, which also raised the state’s cap on Israeli bonds — with no statement explaining any of them. His campaign site (home, issues, why) and 2026 Ballotpedia survey say nothing on Israel, and no candidate questionnaire with a foreign-policy answer was found. Unrated until there is a statement of his own; the counter-case is a provisional 2, reading the four Yea votes as a pro-Israel record, against which the Nay cuts.
