R · U.S. House, NC-11 · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
As a North Carolina state representative she co-sponsored and voted for House Resolution 897 (October 10, 2023), which urges Congress “to offer full and unequivocal support of Israel financially and otherwise for as long as it takes,” and co-sponsored and voted for the SHALOM Act (HB 942, 2024), which wrote the IHRA working definition of antisemitism “including the contemporary examples” into state law. She also voted for resolutions marking Israel's 75th anniversary (May 2023) and a second “Support for Israel” resolution (June 2025); no statement on Gaza or Palestinian civilians found. Asked in her 2026 iVoterGuide questionnaire whether the U.S. relationship with Israel matters, she answered: “Yes. Israel is the only democracy in the middle east.”
A 1/2, not a clean 1. Across two terms she voted for each of the North Carolina House’s three Israel resolutions and its antisemitism-definition law — HR 894, HR 897, HR 1013 and the SHALOM Act — including a call for open-ended financial support for Israel's war and the IHRA definition with its contemporary examples, with no word for Palestinian civilians: reliable, zero-daylight pro-Israel support. But she was a co-sponsor, not an author: HR 897 had four primary sponsors and 73 co-sponsors, the SHALOM Act four primary sponsors and 26 co-sponsors, and her own legislative brand is women's sports, public safety and farmland. No leadership on the issue, so 1/2. A flat 2 would need a statement of concern for Palestinian civilians; none was found.
