Jessica Steinmann
R · U.S. House, TX-8 · Tier 1/2
Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
In her 2026 primary questionnaire for iVoterGuide she wrote: “The United States’ relationship with Israel is vital to our national security. Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East, a key partner against terrorism and Iran, and a fellow democracy that shares our values. Standing with Israel makes America safer and stronger.” Executive general counsel at the America First Policy Institute and a former Justice Department official, the Trump-endorsed TX-8 Republican nominee for the open seat runs on President Trump's America First agenda, border security, election integrity and conservative social issues.
A 1/2, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer. In her 2026 primary questionnaire for iVoterGuide she called the relationship with Israel “vital to our national security” and Israel “our strongest ally in the Middle East,” concluding that “Standing with Israel makes America safer and stronger.” That is unqualified support, with no word for Palestinian civilians and nothing on Gaza, aid or weapons. There is no leadership on the issue: she has held no elected office and written no Israel legislation. AIPAC endorsed her, and its PAC has directed $29,502 to her campaign (2026). Counter-case: unrated until she says more, since the whole record is one written answer.
