Tier 1, “Firmly pro-Israel”
Florida Republican who won FL-1 in a special election after Matt Gaetz resigned, after serving as Florida's Chief Financial Officer from 2017; his official House biography says that as CFO “He also defended Israeli businesses from Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction activities, and invested hundreds of millions of Florida Treasury dollars into low-risk, quality yield, Israel bonds.” In the House he has voted the pro-Israel side of every tracked measure — No on the July 2025 Greene and July 2026 Massie cuts, Yea on the July 2026 State Department bill and the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill — and against every 2026 Iran and Lebanon war-powers resolution, and in March 2026 he praised the U.S. strikes on Iran as “peace through strength in action.”
A clean 1, on his record as Florida's CFO. His official biography credits him personally with defending Israeli businesses from BDS and putting “hundreds of millions of Florida Treasury dollars” into Israel bonds — anti-BDS enforcement and state money for Israel, which is leadership beyond a vote — and his short House record is zero-daylight, with no concern for Palestinian civilians. Counter-case: 1/2 if acts as a state official before Congress are discounted or need independent confirmation; the biography gives no dates or companies, and nothing in his House tenure is leadership.
