JoAnna Mendoza

D · U.S. House, AZ-6 · not rated

Position

Her only statement on Israel is an October 7, 2026 anniversary post remembering “the innocent lives taken” in “the October 7 terrorist attacks” in Israel and recommitting to “confronting terrorism, fighting antisemitism, and rejecting hatred in all its forms”; it says nothing about Gaza, aid or weapons. Her national-security platform is about the border, NATO and war powers, pledging to “demand Congressional approval before committing U.S. troops to new conflicts”; in the September 2026 debate she attacked the Iran war as having no plan and no exit strategy. J Street PAC endorses her and says she “has committed to representing J Street’s pro-Israel, pro-peace values in Congress.” The Jewish Democratic Council of America also endorses her; its endorsement page says she “has affirmed her commitment to Israel’s security and a negotiated two-state solution, emphasizing Israel’s right to defend itself while supporting humanitarian aid and the development of a democratic Palestinian civil society that rejects terrorist organizations.”

Why not rated

Not rated: her own words on Israel are one October 7 remembrance, which states no position on Gaza, aid or weapons. Her Iran-war criticism is a war-powers position.
