Tier 4, “Critical / conditions aid”
Asked at his July 16, 2026 YouTube town hall whether he would vote to suspend aid to Israel “like half of the Dems in the House did yesterday,” he answered “Yes, I would,” adding that he believes “Israel’s committed genocide in Gaza”; a March 2026 campaign video has him saying “Is Gaza a genocide? I believe that it is,” and at his October 15 town hall, asked how he would handle party leaders pressing for his vote, he named his Track AIPAC pledge as a red line and said “a lot of people care deeply about us sending weapons and arms to Israel” and “there’s going to be red lines here where we just can’t, we can’t go there.” Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption (Track AIPAC) endorses him, and its fundraising page says he is “standing against genocide” and “REJECTING support from AIPAC and the Israel lobby” — the endorser's words, not his. A retired Air Force major and former federal civil servant, he faces Republican Amanda McKinney for the open WA-4 seat on tariffs, rural hospitals, immigration reform and tax fairness.
A 4, on a thin record: answers at two of his YouTube town halls and one short campaign video. Asked on July 16, 2026 whether he would vote to suspend aid to Israel “like half of the Dems in the House did yesterday,” he answered “Yes, I would,” adding that he believes “Israel’s committed genocide in Gaza.” His March 2026 video says “Is Gaza a genocide? I believe that it is.” At his October 15 town hall he said “a lot of people care deeply about us sending weapons and arms to Israel” and that there are “red lines here where we just can’t, we can’t go there.” That is a challenger naming the genocide and backing a halt to aid because of it. None of it is on his campaign site or in his 2025 Ballotpedia survey; at the September 30 Richland debate his foreign-policy line was the Iran war’s cost. Counter-case: a 4/5, since he names the genocide repeatedly; but “suspend,” given in answer to a question, and an indirect red line fall short of a firm cutoff.
