Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”
He is a retired State Patrol lieutenant. His campaign's “Reject Jew-Hatred and Extremism” plank accuses Rep. Ilhan Omar of “open displays of antisemitism,” and in July 2025 he posted that she “continually shows her support for Hamas and the genocide going on because of Hamas,” citing Ambassador Huckabee's claims of Hamas stealing aid trucks and food rotting because of a “dysfunctional UN.” In May 2024, replying to video of the University of Minnesota Gaza encampment, he wrote that “Arrests should be made,” that “Protesters having school visas should be expelled and sent home” and that “Supporting terrorist should have consequences.” Before Omar’s October 26, 2026 Minneapolis event with the streamer Hasan Piker, he wrote on X that she was campaigning with “a man who said ‘America deserved 9/11’ and that he would vote for Hamas ‘every single time,’” adding: “This is not outreach. It is the normalization of antisemitism, support for terrorists and contempt for America.”
A 1/2, not a clean 1. His record on Israel is rhetoric in a zero-daylight pro-Israel frame: he lays Gaza's suffering at the feet of Hamas and the UN, treats campus Gaza protest as support for terrorism to be met with arrests and visa expulsions, and builds a campaign plank on accusing Omar of antisemitism. There is no expressed concern for Palestinian civilians, which rules out a flat 2. But a challenger's posts and an anti-Omar plank are not leadership on the issue — no authored policy, no fundraising role, nothing at the pitch of the hardline brands that mark a clean 1 — and he has stated no position on aid or arms themselves, so 1/2 is the fit, open to revision if one surfaces.
