Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

Her official site says “A secure Israel means a more secure America, and my commitment to supporting Israel’s safety and stability is unwavering.” In August 2025 she spent a week in Israel on a bipartisan congressional delegation — Arrow-3 and Iron Beam briefings, October 7 sites, meetings with Netanyahu “to discuss the war in Gaza” and with Herzog — and said “This trip reinforced for me that America’s security is tied to Israel’s security”; her release called a tree-planting ceremony for the October 7 victims “a solemn reminder of the stakes of U.S. support for Israel’s right to defend itself.” In Congress since January 2025 she voted for ICC sanctions (Jan 2025), against the 2025 Greene and 2026 Massie amendments to cut Israel’s military aid, for H.R.8595 and for the September 2026 college anti-boycott bill, and was an original cosponsor of the 2026 Replace UNRWA Act (H.R.9680).

Why this tier

A 1/2, not a clean 1. Every Israel vote she has cast sits at the pro-Israel end, she cosponsored the 2026 bill to replace UNRWA, and her account of the August 2025 trip frames Gaza entirely through Israel’s security and right to defend itself, with no word on Palestinian civilians — which rules out a flat 2. There is no leadership on the issue: she has written no Israel legislation and holds no Israel caucus role, and a delegation trip and a cosponsorship are support rather than leadership. Counter-case: none of substance in either direction.
