Kailee Buller

R · U.S. House, NY-22 · Tier 1/2

Tier 1/2, between “Firmly pro-Israel” and “Mainstream pro-Israel”

Position

Former senior USDA official and self-described moderate Republican challenging Rep. John Mannion. Her site’s national-defense plank says she believes in “peace through strength” and that “Kailee supports a strong and mutually beneficial U.S.-Israel relationship”. In a July 2026 post on her campaign blog she attacked Mannion for voting for legislation that “would have eliminated the United States’ annual $3.3 billion in security assistance to Israel” — “Mannion should explain why he voted to weaken Israel” — and wrote, “In Congress, I will be a reliable and unapologetic ally of Israel,” adding, “I will never support policies that jeopardize Israel’s security or abandon one of America’s closest allies.” In a statement to Central Current published October 23, 2026, she said she would vote against the Block the Bombs Act: “I’m an ally of Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East. I would be a no on that bill. I’m not going to jeopardize the safety and security of our Jewish friends,” adding that Mannion “sided with AOC and the far-left, and abandoned the Jewish state.”

Why this tier

A 1/2, on a thin record: a campaign plank, a blog post and her answers in the October 2026 campaign. Her plank backs “a strong and mutually beneficial U.S.-Israel relationship,” and in July 2026 she attacked Mannion’s vote for legislation that would have eliminated Israel’s $3.3 billion in annual security assistance, promising to be “a reliable and unapologetic ally of Israel” who will “never support policies that jeopardize Israel’s security.” She told Syracuse.com she opposes “putting conditions on its security aid,” and at an October 2026 debate she said she is “extremely concerned” about Gaza and October 7 but called a two-state solution not “possible or viable” and said “we have to continue funding Israel”; she names no concern for Palestinian civilians, which is the 1/2 shape. With no elected office, legislation or Israel brand, there is no route to a clean 1.
