Tier 3/4, between “Pro-Israel, critical” and “Critical / conditions aid”
At a WHQR candidates’ forum at UNCW, recorded October 12, 2026, she raised her hand for yes when asked in a show-of-hands round “Would you support ending financial military assistance to Israel?”, according to the tally WHQR published on October 28 (in the same round she said yes to ending the Iran war and no to ending military assistance to Ukraine). Welcoming the October 2025 ceasefire deal “agreed to today by both Israel and Hamas,” she wrote that “This two year long nightmare has stolen the futures of over 70,000 people”; asked by WHQR in September 2026 about U.S. support for Israel and Ukraine, she answered only on Iran war powers and NATO, without naming Israel. A social worker and Fayetteville State University professor who was the 2020 Democratic nominee for NC House District 43, she runs on jobs and wages, health care, schools, the environment and coastal resilience.
A thin 3/4: a raised hand and one post. At a WHQR candidates’ forum recorded October 12, 2026, she raised her hand for ending “financial military assistance to Israel,” according to the tally WHQR published on October 28, and in the same round voted no to ending it for Ukraine, so the Israel answer reads as deliberate. Her October 2025 post on the ceasefire deal grieved a “two year long nightmare” that had “stolen the futures of over 70,000 people.” Ending military aid, stated without conditions or carve-outs, sits at 3/4. Counter-cases: 3, because a show of hands is among the thinnest records on the roster and she has given no reasons in her own words; 4, taking the answer as a pledge to end all military aid to Israel.
