Tier 4, “Critical / conditions aid”

Position

Asked by Lone Star Left whether he supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, he answered: “Yes. Defund Israel. We, as a moral nation, should not support the wholesale slaughter of children and families. We should never support this and should cut our funding to any nation that participates in genocide” (published August 2026). He posted on X in June 2026 that “We can no longer support a genocide and using our money for it” (as quoted by Capitol Hill Citizen), rejects AIPAC money and is endorsed by Track AIPAC. An Army Reserve captain, he is the TX-19 Democratic nominee for the open seat against Tom Sell.

Why this tier

A 4, on a thin record: one questionnaire answer and one social post. Asked by Lone Star Left whether he supports ending U.S. military aid to countries with ongoing human rights abuses, including Israel and Egypt, he answered “Yes. Defund Israel,” adding that the U.S. “should cut our funding to any nation that participates in genocide” (published August 2026). In June 2026 he posted on X, as quoted by Capitol Hill Citizen, “We can no longer support a genocide and using our money for it.” That is a cutoff of U.S. money argued on the genocide, not conditioning of offensive arms. But both statements are short, neither addresses defensive systems or arms sales, and his campaign platform speaks only of rescinding the president’s war powers “to prevent more endless wars in the Middle East.” He rejects AIPAC money and is endorsed by Track AIPAC. Counter-case: 4/5, since he ties the cutoff to the genocide in two separate statements.
