Tier 2, “Mainstream pro-Israel”
In a September 2024 WJCT interview during her previous run, asked where she stood on “whether to continue supporting Israel financially and through munitions,” she said: “I am a descendant of Ethiopian Jews, but I do believe in a two-state party solution and we have greater domestic issues than foreign issues.” Asked whether she backs continuing to fund Israel through war supplies, she answered “Well, no, I abhor war,” then said “without more data, it’s hard for me to speak on that,” that “we have to support our allies because it is important for us to protect our borders,” that “I don’t agree with bullying,” that “everyone has a right to defend themselves” and that “I also believe that people should have dignity.” A Jacksonville lawyer and patient advocate who worked as a staffer for Rep. Carrie Meek and at the EPA, the repeat candidate faces Aaron Bean and runs on healthcare access, Social Security and affordable housing.
A thin 2. Her one recorded answer on Israel came in a September 2024 WJCT interview, in her previous run. Asked about funding Israel and its munitions, she said: “I do believe in a two-state party solution and we have greater domestic issues than foreign issues.” Pressed on funding Israel’s war supplies, she said “without more data, it’s hard for me to speak on that,” then that “we have to support our allies,” that “everyone has a right to defend themselves” and that “I also believe that people should have dignity.” That backs allies and self-defense in a mainstream frame; the dignity line names no one and voices no concern for Gaza, and she takes no position on aid or weapons. On a thin record: that one 2024 answer. Her campaign site and her 2022 Ballotpedia survey never mention Israel, Gaza, Palestine or foreign aid. Counter-cases: 2/3, since her first word on funding Israel’s war supplies was “Well, no, I abhor war”; unrated, since she declined to take a side and nothing in her 2026 campaign repeats the answer.
